Mother V. Daughter

Why must a mother who claims that she just wants her daughter to express herself, be trying to destroy her little girl?  Why can't a little girl with two older brothers, want to be like them and emulate what they do?  Why is it the world's concern with how a toddler dresses?  Why do we insist on promoting a female v. female, or worse, mother v. daughter, agenda on women?

I do not know them so I will not speculate, but I hate seeing these messages propagated like wild fire.  If we cannot trust our mothers, how are we to trust other women?  If we think that women always have malicious intentions towards other women, we will never be able to stand together and speak for justice, but instead will have fallen victim to a successful attempt at divide and conquer acquisition.
